Only two more months until the on-street pay stations "go live" throughout downtown in mid-September. Now is the time to comment on how the public will experience the system.
The next public meeting on draft recommendations for downtown paid-on street parking system is this Thursday, July 1st, 2010, 5:00-6:00PM at the University of Washington Tacoma in the Tacoma Room (above the bookstore @ S. 19th & Pacific).

Will there still be some 20- or 30-minute spaces for quick errands and ease of use? I would feel silly and annoyed at having to pay to park to get cash at my ATM...
ReplyDeleteThanks for your question. Yes, there will be some 30 minute signed stalls. You can purchase a minimun of 20 minutes for 25 cents at all the pay stations.
ReplyDeleteAll pay stations accept debit and credit cards in addition to change. The meters do not accept cash because wet bills clog up the machines.
