Parking Task Force Seeks New Members

Want to make a difference in your downtown? The Parking Management Advisory Task Force is looking for new members who will be actively engaged in decisions and recommendations to the City about downtown parking. The Task Force advises the City Manager on the downtown parking system; duties include the recently introduced paid on-street parking program, but may grow to include the City’s off-street parking facilities.

Currently, there is a need for volunteers representing downtown residents, owners/ managers of commercial properties and restaurant operators within the downtown. The Task Force currently meets the first and third Thursday’s of the month from 4 p.m. to 6.p.m..

Interested persons are invited to complete an application for further consideration by the Task Force and appointment to the Task Force by the Tacoma City Manager. Applications are due by the end of day Monday, December 13, 2010.
