If you’re
looking for something fun this holiday season in the downtown Tacoma area the
Festival of Trees is the celebration to attend!
During the
first week of December the Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital hosts the Festival
of Trees for the families of Western Washington. This festival displays 60 artfully
decorated trees that will later be auctioned to benefit the children and
families in need.
Each tree
is lavishly decorated to match individual themes along with presents, trips,
and gifts. Some of the themes include the Seattle Seahawks tree, Lego tree, and
a whimsical Dr. Sues tree. This event will be fun for the whole family and
benefits a great cause.
The
Festival of Trees will be held at the Greater Tacoma Convention and Trade
Center, 1500 Broadway in Tacoma. The trees will be displayed for the public on Saturday, December 6 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on
Sunday, December 7.
Tickets are $6. Student’s ages 12 to 18 get in for $2,
